Muay Thai uses stand-up striking along with various clinching techniques. This discipline is known as the “art of eight limbs”, as it is characterized by the combined use of fists, elbows, knees and shins. Kickboxing was historically developed from combining elements of Karate with Boxing. In this program, classes will start off with a warm-up, teaching the fundamentals of hand and foot coordination and proper technique to develop cardiovascular and muscular endurance. You will learn some new skills, and spend time doing live-action drills using a bag, pads, or a partner. These classes are ideal for beginners looking for a full-body workout in a fun, fast-paced setting.
